The demanding program of the “European Conducting Masterclass” from February 28th until March 4th 2022, presented a particularly professional challenge for the chosen 12 contestants. No less than Béla Bartóks Concerto for Orchestra, Antonín Dvoráks Symphony Nr. 7 and Anton Bruckners Symphony Nr. 4 were rehearsed. The conductors of this, rigidly Covid-regulated, masterclass were accompanied through those masterpieces with the guiding hand of worldwide renowned conductor, teacher and author Martin Sieghart.
The working atmosphere with the Slovak Radio Symphonie Orchestra Bratislava was very focused and aimed at the most detailed finesse of ensemble playing.
David Holzinger conducted Bartóks Concerto for Orchestra at the final concert.
The concert took place on Friday the 4th of March 2022 at the grand broadcasting hall of the Slovak Radio Symphony building in Bratislava.
